Interested in giving up meat? Maybe you are already veggie / vegan and looking for additional inspiration. Then this is a must-attend event.
In support of the upcoming release of their third album, experimental Britprog band 'Kitten Pyramid' invite you to an exclusive preview of their short film 'KIDDO'.
Kiddo is an allegory for the the worst elements of the meat industry, but it’s also a 70s inspired horror thriller taking cues from episodes of The Outer Limits, grindhouse cinema and the classics of art-house shockers.
This event is being supported by the Vegetarian Society, which is celebrating the 175th anniversary of its inaugural meeting in 1847 and has remained an iconic part of the Manchester landscape ever since.
The event includes screenings of videos from the upcoming album, the film itself (which runs to 12 minutes) and will be followed by a Q&A with the Director, members of Kitten Pyramid and the Vegetarian Society.
The aftershow will be held at the same venue in the Hall at Grub, with a chance to meet and chat further about the issues raised by the film with fellow kindred spirits.
Each ticket includes a free £5 drink voucher redeemable at the bar and a free £5 food voucher redeemable with the street food vendors on site that evening. Vouchers will be issued at the venue on production of the Eventbrite ticket (print or mobile).

D rinks and food on the night
There is a bar available throughout the event. Please note the bar operates a cashless system and only card payments are taken. Food will be available from a number of street vendors in the outside beer garden at the rear of GRUB. Most vendors offer veggie and vegan options.

There is limited on-street parking outside the venue. However, we recommend that public transport is used, as a low carbon option.

Will there be a photographer?
The event team will be taking photographs and video footage throughout the evening, and photos will be available on both the Vegetarian Society and Kitten Pyramid's social media pages after the event. Feel free to tag yourselves and share these, and we would love for you to post your own photos on the event page! If you do not want to appear in photos, please let one of the staff team know when you arrive.

Do I need to print my ticket off before I arrive?
Your tickets will be emailed to you, you can either print this and bring it with you or display them through a smartphone or tablet. To avoid any delays, please have your ticket ready when arriving at the venue
